Uninstalling Cursor Crane

If you no longer want to use Cursor Crane, you can remove it in two levels depending on how thoroughly you want to clean up your machine.

For a normal uninstall, just delete the app bundle:

  • Remove Cursor Crane.app from your Applications folder, or wherever you placed it.

This is enough if you simply want to stop using the app.

If you also want to remove local configuration and stored preferences, delete the following paths:

  • App bundle: Cursor Crane.app
  • Configuration directory: ~/Library/Application Support/com.expressionloss.CursorClaw
  • UserDefaults file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.expressionloss.CursorClaw.plist

The Application Support directory is also the default location where Cursor Crane stores its configuration files.

After removing the app, you can also revoke its Accessibility permission in macOS:

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Go to Privacy & Security > Accessibility
  3. Find Cursor Crane in the list
  4. Disable it or remove the entry if it is still present

If you want to keep your setup for later reuse, back up the configuration directory before deleting it:

  • ~/Library/Application Support/com.expressionloss.CursorClaw
