Move Your Mouse to Another Monitor with the Keyboard on Mac

Jump the mouse pointer to another monitor with Cursor Crane, then continue positioning it from the keyboard. This is useful when your pointer is far away from the screen you are working on.

Steps

  1. Enter Mouse Control Mode with your configured command or shortcut. With the default hold-Space behavior enabled, you can also hold Space in Command Mode.
  2. Look at the display numbers in the status indicator at the top left.
  3. Press the target display’s number. The pointer moves to that display’s center.
  4. Continue positioning the pointer with your movement keys; in Mouse Control Mode, press Enter to click when it reaches the target.

You can also switch displays while in Grid Mode, then keep refining the position with the grid.

What to check

This moves the mouse pointer; it does not move a window or place the text cursor in a field. In Grid Mode, number keys select a display only when they are not being used for grid positioning; use - and = to switch to the previous or next display instead.
