Screenshot a Mac Interface Element with the Keyboard

Unlocked or active trial

Capture a specific interface element as an image with Cursor Crane. Select the element first, then copy its screenshot or save it without manually drawing a capture rectangle.

Steps

Section titled “Steps”
  1. Open Element Menu Mode for the target.
  2. Type its hint, then hold Space to open the menu.
  3. Choose Copy Screenshot to copy the element image, or hold Option and choose Screenshot to save it to the Desktop.

If you select a window instead of an element, the menu also offers the corresponding window screenshot actions.
